Before starting a cold calling campaign for you, I need the following:

  1. Script/talking points
  2. Three pain points of your current clients and how you help with those pain points. 
  3. List of common questions you receive and a cheat sheet on how to answer those questions.
  4. List of competitors and how you compare to them.
  5. A minimum of 250 contacts you want to be called on in an Excel spreadsheet.

I'm VERY careful not to ask for too much information, as this will overwhelm the prospect and kill the cold call.

My objective is to just get a foot in the door!  

If the prospect asks questions about pricing etc. I will deflect and say “These are great questions!   Do you have your calendar handy?  Let’s set up a 20-minute conversation with our sales expert who can go through all your questions you have”.
